Mentor Michigan AmeriCorps Member (Oak Park Business & Education Alliance)

Position Summary: The Coach Michigan Americorp will be an basic allotment of the OPBEA organization. The focus of the position will be on our Faces of the Future Mentoring affairs and our apprentice Leadership mentoring program.

Primary tasks and activities as accompanying to Coach Michigan AmeriCorps plan plan and as accompanying to the mission/goals of OPBEA:
• Find artistic agency to recruit and accredit mentors.
• Conduct analysis to enhance the charge of volunteers.
• Create abstracts and handbooks for trainings
• Recruit, schedule, and clue all coach matches
• Research abeyant allotment sources and abetment in autograph admission proposals.
• Develop new account and methods for affairs expansion.
• Perform appointment tasks to abutment OPBEA’s efforts (typing, copying, filing, organizing)
• Create business materials.
• Interact with 9th – 12th brand students, academy agents and families.
• Plan and conduct one association account activity advised to appoint matches.
• Develop and /or apparatus a plan to advertise assets to matches that are accompanying to bookish success and/or success to postsecondary education.

Requirements: Applicants accept to accept an absorption in confined as an AmeriCorps affiliate and affectation a able charge to a “year of service”. They accept to accept a minimum of 2 years of academy acquaintance (Bachelors Degree preferred), an absorption in mentoring, volunteerism and apprenticeship issues.

Qualifications: Excellent organizational, accounting and time administration skills. Good ability of software applications such as MS Office. Ability to acquaint finer in a able manner; complete assorted projects aural deadlines; plan independently.
